1.Project Concept The core idea is to convert the physical weight of overflowing water into mechanical energy. By using a simple Single Pole Breaker (MCB) as the main control switch, you have created a way for the motor to "turn itself off" once the tank is full, preventing water wastage and electricity loss. 2. How It Works (Step-by-Step) Step 1: The Electrical Setup Instead of connecting the motor directly to a power socket, one of the main power wires is routed through a Single Pole Breaker. This breaker acts as the "gatekeeper." When the breaker lever is UP, the motor runs; when it is pulled DOWN, the circuit breaks and the motor stops. Step 2: The Trigger Mechanism A lightweight, empty bottle (like a 7-Up bottle) is tied to a rope and hung directly under the overflow pipe of the water tank. The other end of this rope is tied securely to the lever of the breaker switch. Step 3: The Automatic Shutdown As the motor pumps water, the tank eventually fills up. Excess water flows out through the overflow pipe and falls directly into the empty bottle. As the bottle fills with water, it becomes heavy. This sudden weight creates downward tension on the rope. The rope pulls the breaker lever down, instantly cutting off the power supply to the motor.
